Analysis reveals changes in corneal curvature after contact lens wear, suggesting impacts on eye shape.
Five habitual contact lens wearers were tested before inserting their lenses and at intervals after wearing them. Mean horizontal curvature increased 0.71 D, 0.84 D and 0.55 D after 4, 8 and 16 hours of wear, mean vertical curvature increased 0.52 D, 0.50 D and 0.38 D at the same time.
