Genome assembly reveals extensive chromosomal structures and gene diversity in Dryobotodes eremita, indicating evolutionary insights.
<ns3:p> We present a genome assembly from an individual female <ns3:italic>Dryobotodes eremita</ns3:italic> (the Brindled Green; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Noctuidae). The genome sequence is 709.8 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 32 chromosomal pseudomolecules including the Z and W sex chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 15.5 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 19,706 protein coding genes. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. </ns3:p>
