Geological analysis shows a lack of spatial association of Taimyr basites with regional basalt fields, implying distinct origins.
Conclusion on the lack of spatial association of the Taimyr basites and basalt field of the Tunguska syneclise was drawn from correlation of magmatic formations of the northern Central Siberia and Taimyr and interpretation of new geological and geophysical information. It is shown that in the Late Paleozoic and Early Mesozoic there was a source area within the Yenisei-Khatanga trough, which supplied the sedimentary material to adjacent troughs. The prospecting of differentiated intrusions is proposed to be carried out within the southern Taimyr Peninsula, in the junction zone of the Taimyr structures and the Yenisei-Khatanga riftogenic trough.
