Geophysical survey uncovers magnetic anomalies in Burgess Hill, suggesting potential field drains.
An area of 2.4ha was surveyed using two cart-mounted Bartington Grad601-2 fluxgate gradiometers.. Geophysical survey recorded several magnetic anomalies. Most were caused by nearby ferromagnetic objects, such as fencing and metal debris. Groups of parallel linear anomalies may indicate field drains.
