Geophysical survey detects magnetic anomalies in an area, suggesting potential archaeological features.
an area of 3.6ha was surveyed using two cart-mounted dual sensor Bartington Instruments Grad 601-2 fluxgate gradiometers. The survey found a range of mainly weak anomalies that may represent cut features. These include potential 19th century land boundaries and a possible trackway. Also recorded are a series of generally linear magnetic anomalies that may represent archaeological features, or may simply be caused by scattered debris. Magnetic disturbance was likely caused by surrounding fencing and buried pipelines, as well as various ferromagnetic debris
