An archaeological evaluation assesses historic assets in South Kyme, indicating no significant remains found.
Between February 27th and February 28th 2023, Network Archaeology undertook an archaeological evaluation in advance of development works on land at Home Farm, South Kyme, Lincolnshire. The evaluation comprised the mechanical excavation of four trenches (one 20m by 1.8m and three 30m by 1.8m) and was undertaken to support a planning application for residential development of the proposed development area (PDA). The results will inform North Kesteven District Council (NKDC) to adequately mitigate any historic environment assets as part of the planning application in line with National Planning Policy framework (NPPF). The evaluation identified no significant archaeological remains within the Proposed Development Area, the only deposits being layers of hardcore and made ground associated with a former farmyard. In addition, no finds were recovered
