This paper proposes a solid-state thermal management architecture for high-power-density electric motors. By replacing the conventional silicon-steel stator yoke with magnetocaloric effect (MCE) alloys, the yoke itself functions as an active heat pump. The intrinsic high-frequency alternating magnetic fields generated by rotor rotation drive an Active Magnetic Regenerative (AMR) cycle, providing self-regulating cooling that scales with motor speed. This eliminates the need for liquid coolants, pumps, or additional moving parts. Preliminary thermodynamic analysis and comparison with existing literature indicate potential advantages in mass, reliability, and efficiency for extreme mobility applications.
