This study evaluates the success of the National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) in improving market access and income opportunities for rural farmers in Coimbatore. e-NAM was introduced to create a unified national agricultural market by integrating Agricultural Produce Market Committees (APMCs) through an online trading platform. The research examines farmers’ awareness, participation level, price realization, transparency in transactions, and overall satisfaction with the e-NAM system. Primary data collected from rural farmers in Coimbatore district highlights the extent to which the platform has reduced the role of intermediaries, improved price discovery, and enhanced market efficiency. The findings indicate that while e-NAM has positively contributed to better price transparency and wider market access, challenges such as limited digital literacy, inadequate infrastructure, and lack of technical support continue to restrict its full potential. The study concludes with suggestions to strengthen digital training and infrastructure to ensure greater inclusiveness and effectiveness of e-NAM for rural farmers.
