The article demonstrates enhanced waste management strategies in industrial regions, indicating improved environmental impact and socio-economic development.
The issue addressed in the article lies in the necessity of creating a model capable of taking into account a multitude of interrelated factors, such as waste volumes, social and economic consequences, and environmental risks. The aim of this research is to develop a management model that allows for a comprehensive analysis, assessment, and resolution of sustainable development issues to stimulate companies to implement waste management programs. The initial hypothesis of the research is the assumption that applying systemic analysis in the implementation of integrative interactions among governmental, commercial, and public structures to address regional sustainable development issues can enhance the effectiveness of decisions made and also reduce environmental impact. The article proposes a comprehensive approach to analyzing and assessing the issues within the framework of sustainable development. Special attention is given to the area of waste management. The research methodology is based on a comprehensive approach to analyzing and developing strategies for industrial waste management. The subject of this study is the process of recycling waste generated during sugar production. The proposed analytical model, based on the principles of systemic analysis, allows for the integration of data related to the issue at hand, considering interdisciplinary aspects. The approach includes stages of identifying key problems, their quantitative and qualitative assessment, as well as the development and implementation of strategies to minimize negative consequences. The results of the model's testing, conducted using the issue of waste disposal in a region with a developed industrial infrastructure as an example, demonstrated the high practical significance of the proposed approach. The paper presents conclusions regarding the necessity of digitizing waste management processes, taking regional specifics into account, and enhancing the level of interaction among governmental, commercial, and public structures. Suggested directions for further research include adapting the model to the conditions of various regions and studying its impact on socio-economic development. The materials of the article may be useful for researchers addressing sustainable development issues, as well as for practitioners in the field of environmental and strategic planning.
