The aim is to evaluate symptom levels of hand ischemia in patients during rest and hemodialysis sessions.
Observational study design
Population includes patients with advanced HAIDI
Comparison of symptoms at rest vs. during hemodialysis sessions
Patients report more severe symptoms of hand ischemia at rest than during hemodialysis sessions.
The findings imply a need for potential screening measures in home environments.
Abstract
Patients with advanced stages of HAIDI experience more symptoms of hand ischemia at rest than during a hemodialysis session. These findings suggest a potential role for screening in a home setting.
