Finite element analysis investigates the tooth strength in freight elevator traction systems, indicating design improvements.
The design and operating principles of tractional machines in freight elevators are considered. The supporting capacity of the main transmission mechanism in a traction system with a worm gear pair is investigated. Nonlinear finite element analysis is used to determine the tooth strength in the worm gear. SMath Studio software is employed in the calculations.
