Analyzes accuracy impacts of hinge gaps on modular antenna units, suggesting optimization for improved performance.
This paper focuses on the deployable unit of a space modular antenna as the research object. To enhance antenna accuracy, research on the optimization design of mechanism accuracy under the influence of hinge gaps is conducted. A hinge contact model considering gaps is established using finite element analysis software and introduced into the deployable unit of the modular antenna. Through end position accuracy analysis of four antenna deployable unit configurations, the impact patterns of hinge gaps on accuracy under different configurations are revealed. Based on the linear regression method, error sensitivity analysis quantifies the contribution weights of each hinge gap to accuracy, providing data support for establishing an optimization model. With optimal accuracy as the primary design objective, Pareto front method is adopted to carry out hinge gap optimization design, forming an optimized solution that balances cost and accuracy demands. The research results provide a theoretical basis and design references for the design and manufacture of high-accuracy space deployable antennas, which are of significant importance for improving the application performance of modular antenna systems in the aerospace field.
