Reveals ultraviolet effects on human eyes, suggesting implications for understanding light exposure.
A 5,000 watt xenon‐mercury high pressure lamp was used to produce a continuous ultraviolet spectrum for the human eye. Instrumentation, calibrating and experimental procedures are described. A total of 39 human eyes were exposed at eleven different 10 mm wavebands in the 220 to 310 mm wavelength range Human data were compared to rabbit and primate data.
