Develops an automatic painting system that optimizes film thickness in relation to painting forces, suggesting improved painting efficiency.
This study aims to development of the automatic brush painting system. The concept of this setup is the feedback-control system of the measured painting force in painting processes. And then, generation of paint films with constant width and thickness will be expected. This report deals with the relationship between the painting forces and generated paint film formation. The painting experiments were carried out using paint materials of different viscosity. The painting forces were measured with 3-dimensional piezoelectric dynamometer. From the results, the film width and thickness change in increasing painting force on vertical direction. Thus, a part of fundamental generation mechanism of paint film formation is revealed.
