Reports on the advancements in cyanoacrylate adhesives, highlighting durability and new formulations.
Cyanoacrylate adhesives are widely known as instant adhesives and are popular in not only industrial but also consumer market since polymerized and hardend in a short time by low energy anionic species such as moisture on material surfaces or in the air. Also, the non solvent and one component adhesive is very useful. However, the durability might be poor comparable to other adhesives. In this report, it introduces the basic technology and new development such as cyanoacrylate that has performance of light curable adhesives or that has two component adhesive with other adhesives.
