The study presented serological evidence of exposure to foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) serotype O in sheep from two herds, named Farm A and Farm G, following thedetection of antibodies against non-structural proteins (NSPs), which serve as markers of viral exposure. The herds included unvaccinated animals with no history of foot-andmouth disease (FMD), as reported by their owners. Seropositivity was determined to be 59.09% and 6.25% for Farm A and Farm G, respectively. These findings are discussed with respect to subclinical FMDV infection in sheep and its potential implications for cattle, informed by previous reports.
