This contribution demonstrates advances in laser ranging technology for improving space debris tracking, suggesting better situational awareness.
In this contribution, we present how current technology is being applied to laser ranging systems to expand capabilities of tracking space debris. Our focus is on the development of advanced laser ranging stations, designed to deliver precise measurements of debris trajectories. As part of an ongoing process, the control software is being refined for automated operation. Thus, enhancing measurement throughput and ensuring improved coverage of space debris.
