This system streamlines collaboration and citation management in research writing, indicating improved efficiency.
Academic research and collaborative paper writing often involve multiple disconnected tools for drafting, referencing, and reviewing, which can lead to fragmented workflows, version conflicts, and reduced efficiency. This paper presents an AI-Based Collaborative Research Paper Management System (CRPMS), a unified web-based platform designed to streamline the entire research writing lifecycle. The system integrates literature review assistance, citation management, collaborative authoring, and AI-supported editing within a single environment. Using advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques, CRPMS provides intelligent features such as automated summarization, semantic search, context-aware citation recommendation, and grammar enhancement. The platform also supports real-time multi-user collaboration, secure version control, and AI-based plagiarism detection to ensure transparency and academic integrity during the writing process. Experimental evaluation demonstrates significant improvements in collaborative efficiency, including reduced version conflicts, faster review cycles, and improved citation accuracy. By combining AI-driven automation with collaborative research tools, CRPMS provides a scalable solution for researchers, students, and academic organizations, enabling more efficient knowledge creation and higher-quality scholarly outputs.
