In October 2008, ARCUS were commissioned by Pick Everard, on behalf of Severn Trent Water, to conduct a RCHME Level III monuments survey of upstanding features associated with a water meadow in Dog and Duck Meadow, Old Clipstone, Nottinghamshire. The Survey was undertaken in advance of proposed sewage pipeline renewal. The water meadow was found to consist of a main drainage channel with two sluice gates with associated lateral drainages channels. The remains of the managed water meadow in the Dog and Duck Meadow are in good condition and represent a small part of what was once a much larger system that has largely been lost as visible earthwork features.
