In the present paper a model for coating formation under conditions of cold gas-dynamic spraying is constructed with allowance for the dependence of deposition efficiency upon particle impact angle. The model shows the change in the profile of single coating track on a flat substrate from the initial (close to Gaussian function) to the wedge-shaped one, which is observed in experiments. An analytical formula is obtained for the position of maximum coating thickness on an inclined substrate. It shows that displacement is much greater than the displacement of the maximum of particle concentration that takes place on the nozzle axis. The formula obtained allows estimating the value of derivative of dependency of deposition efficiency upon particle impact angle using the measured values of relative deposition efficiency, maximum coating thickness, and maximum thickness position.
