Unmanned aerial vehicles are increasingly used in modern society and are increasingly present in certain branches of detention. The idea of this paper is to present the very process of maintenance of commercial aircraft and the possibility of using unmanned aircraft in that process. The inspection process itself could be significantly improved and accelerated, while maintaining or even increasing the level of security. The work gives an overview of today's solutions that are applied and the possibilities of improving such systems. At the very end of the paper, an analysis of the cost-effectiveness of the introduction of these systems is presented, with a special aspect on security risk.
