Abstract

Digital high-tech industrial science has fuelled improvements in 3D mapping technology and augmented reality visualization, accelerating innovation in breast cancer imaging and developing less invasive medical procedures. The digital twin is one such emerging technology that is used in the healthcare field to make a realistic model of doctor-patient communication in many different scenarios. Digital twins (DTs) are high-precision simulations that, in general, map and simulate real-time events or objects. In the context of health, a DT consists essentially of a real-time, artificial intelligence (AI)-driven simulation of an individual's health status that is designed to forecast future events. Breast cancer develops due to the abnormal growt h and multiplication of cells within the breast tissue, leading to the formation of tumours. This article ad dresses the creation of DT for a breast cancer patient in a virtual environment. The virtual demonstration will be helpful firstly for the women who are afraid of being treated and secondly, for trainee doctors without experience in conducting surgery. The created digital replica of the operating room and the patient experiencing breast cancer problems, allowing for the earlier preparation of a surgical procedure.
