Abstract:Objective:To explore the association between the mental health status of guardians and the medication compliance of children,and to evaluate the independent effects of factors such as guardians' educational level,work status,family annual income,drug classification,and duration of medication. Methods:This study employed a retrospective analysis method to collect data from the hospital information management system for 40 cases of children who were taking medication for a long time and their main guardians. The data included the gender,age,and medication compliance score of the children;the social demographic information of the guardians(gender,age,education level,work status,family annual income)and mental health indicators. Medication compliance was obtained through a standardized scale score. In the regression model,the compliance score was set as the dependent variable,while the guardian's anxiety score,depression score,educational level,work status,family annual income,drug classification,and duration of medication were set as independent variables for multiple linear regression analysis. Results:The guardian's anxiety score had a significant negative impact on the children's compliance;the depression score had no significant effect. The guardian's educational level was negatively correlated with compliance,suggesting that children with lower educational levels had higher compliance scores;family annual income was significantly positively correlated with compliance;the duration of medication had a positive impact on compliance. There was no statistical significance in the guardian's work statusand drug classification. Conclusion:This retrospective analysis indicates that the guardian's anxiety level,educational structure,and family economic status are the main factors affecting children's medication compliance. Conducting psychological intervention for high-anxiety guardians,improving family economic support and health education can help improve children's long-term medication compliance and optimize clinical treatment outcomes.
