ABSTRACT In this manuscript, we developed a polymer‐supported copper complex, formed by the polymerization of imidazolium copper salt monomers, it been demonstrated to catalyze the carbonylation cross‐coupling reaction between amines and alkyl iodides effectively. N ‐Heterocyclic carbene (NHC) has become a crucial auxiliary ligand in organometallic catalysis due to its excellent coordination ability with transition metals. The polymer‐supported NHC copper catalyst prepared here efficiently achieves the carbonylation coupling reaction between alkyl iodides and amines, yielding the corresponding amides in good to excellent yields. This catalyst has been demonstrated to eliminate the need for additional ligands, offering low cost and simple preparation, and is reusable.
