This dataset, derived from the Targeted Research Project (CRP) V3-2238 Proposal for a comprehensive prevention model for children and adolescents in the field of psychoactive substances (PAS) and the use of digital technologies, includes transcripts of six semi-structured focus groups which were conducted (four in person and two via Zoom) with 41 participants recruited through purposive sampling from schools in the Health Promoting Schools Network. Discussed topics were: (i) school personnel’s perceptions and knowledge regarding the prevention of PAS use; (ii) perceived barriers and opportunities within the school environment to address this issue.
