Magnetometer survey with a cart-mounted array of Bartington Grad-01-1000L fluxgate gradiometers. The survey detected a small group of rectilinear features that lie close to Great Revel End Farm and may relate to deserted medieval or post-medieval settlement remains. It also detected the remains of six probable World War Two military huts in the south-east of the survey area. Several backfilled quarry pits and historic field boundaries were also detected. Much of the survey area exhibited evidence of natural geological features, including broad areas of colluvium and head deposits at the base of dry valleys.
Walford et al. (Wed,) studied this question.
