This study uses a four-wheel independent brake system for which a control law has been developed with the aim of improving the cornering and braking performance of a vehicle performing a cornering maneuver accompanied by deceleration. In this study, the effect of applying this control law on the lap time of a competition vehicle running on a circuit was evaluated through simulation. The results showed that the vehicle with the control applied was able to delay the start of deceleration at high speeds, allowing deceleration to begin at a higher speed, while no such effect was observed at low speeds.
