Abstract The objective of this study is twofold. First, we aim to demonstrate the existence of triplication in certain varieties of Spanish, while comparing it with other related phenomena, for example, (re)duplication. Second, we aim to present the formal aspects of morphological triplication. We also identify the functions and distribution of Spanish triplication.
