Why the study?
Does targeting Purkinje-Like Potentials (PLP) along the scar border zone for ablation prevent VF recurrence in patients with VF and dilated cardiomyopathy?
Does targeting Purkinje-Like Potentials (PLP) along the scar border zone for ablation prevent VF recurrence in patients with VF and dilated cardiomyopathy?
Ablation targeting Purkinje-like potentials along the scar border zone may prevent ventricular fibrillation recurrence in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy.
May support PLP ablation in DCM-related VF; hypothesis-generating, requiring RCTs before practice change.
In patients with VF and dilated cardiomyopathy, left ventricular posterior wall scar in the vicinity of the mitral annulus seems to be a common finding. Targeting PLP along the scar border zone for ablation seems to efficiently prevent VF recurrence in these patients.
