How have patient characteristics, procedural techniques, and clinical outcomes (30-day and 1-year survival) of TAVI evolved over 15 years?
Over 15 years, TAVI outcomes have significantly improved with increased 30-day and 1-year survival, driven by procedural simplification and a shift towards intermediate- to high-risk patients.
BACKGROUND: Since its introduction in clinical practice, patient selection and procedural technique for transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) have continued to evolve. METHODS: 1000). These improvements translated into a significant increase in 30-day and 1-year survival.
