The purpose of this experiment was to investigate the evolution of rumen microbial community in Hulun Buir sheep at different growth stages by using 16s rDNA sequencing on ruminal content. Thirty-two Hulun Buir sheep from four different growth stages, including neonatal(N, 1-2 days after birth), weaning(W, 2.5 months), mid-fattening(MF, 5 months) and late-fattening(LF, 6 months) stages were selected in this study.
