Critical analysis of Peyrú's action-information in light of the Theory of Objectivity, suggesting compatibility and tensions.
This article presents a critical–propositional analysis of Darío E. Peyrú’s work Life and Consciousness as Physical Variables: The Action-Information Kernel and the Scaling of Directed Work from Biospheric to Astrophysical Consequence (2026), published on Zenodo under DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.19926442. The analysis examines Peyrú’s concept of action-information, understood as the physically constrained capacity of information-bearing systems to redirect energy into directed work and thereby transform the executed state of reality. The article confronts this proposal with the Theory of Objectivity (TO), especially its modal axioms, phenomenic elements, Inducer Effects, cosmogonic theorem, and cosmological Eras. Special attention is given to the TO thesis that the transcendent element is the knowledge or information produced in atomic relations and equivalent to atomic radiations. From this perspective, Peyrú’s action-information kernel is interpreted as a possible operational bridge between information, memory, physical execution, causal latency, and objective transformation. The article argues that Peyrú’s framework offers strong compatibility with TO, particularly in relation to information, memory, causality, life, consciousness, technology, artificial intelligence, and the scaling of physical consequences from biological and planetary regimes toward hypothetical astrophysical or cosmological domains. At the same time, it identifies important points of tension, especially the absence of an explicit modal foundation, the lack of a cosmogonic derivation from Nothing, and the non-formulation of infinity as the necessary non-element for the logical definition of the universe.
