ECR Spotlight – Steven Williams

ECR Spotlight is a series of interviews with early-career authors from a selection of papers published in Journal of Experimental Biology and aims to promote not only the diversity of early-career researchers (ECRs) working in experimental biology but also the huge variety of animals and physiological systems that are essential for the ‘comparative’ approach. Steven Williams is an author on ‘ Precocial parasympathetic-mediated cardiac regulation in embryonic Gulf killifish (Fundulus grandis)’, published in JEB. Steven conducted the research described in this article while a PhD Student in Warren Burggren's lab at University of North Texas, USA. Steven is now a Postdoctoral Researcher in the lab of Nikhil Munshi at UT Southwestern, USA, investigating the biology of the cardiac conduction system, autonomic signaling and cardiac transcriptional regulation across development and adulthood.
