Deepfake technology has rapidly evolved into a major socio-technical threat. This study examines the psychological consequences experienced by victims of AI-generated synthetic media. Using a systematic literature review approach, the paper identifies research gaps in victim-centered analysis and proposes digital trauma as a framework for understanding the human impact of deepfakes.
