Ongoing work shows the properties of negative parity hyperons from meson-baryon scattering, indicating further insights into baryon spectrum.
We present ongoing work on the JP=1/2⁻ hyperons from meson–baryon scattering in lattice QCD. The Λ(1405) is studied on CLS ensembles with 2+1 flavours and m_π=285 MeV, mK=460 MeV, extending an earlier work where two poles were identified. Single- and two-hadron operators are considered at rest and in moving frames. Preliminary results are also shown for the Ξ(1/2⁻) channel, including three open scattering thresholds. The importance of extended operators in the determination of the baryon spectrum is discussed as well.
