Recent exercise may confound emerging muscle biomarker interpretation; leaves open their specificity for myocardial injury in active patients.
Does a sub-maximal aerobic exercise influence the concentration of emerging muscular biomarkers in healthy trained males?
Sub-maximal aerobic exercise significantly increases several emerging biomarkers of muscle damage (GPBB, CAIII, H-FABP) but not IMA or cTnI, indicating these emerging markers cannot safely rule out myocardial damage in patients with recent physical activity.
