Narrative-annotated corpus reveals insights into healthcare facility reviews in Indonesia, suggesting potential for improved analysis.
Here, we announce the creation of koslat-id v.1.0, an annotated corpus of reviews of Indonesian healthcare facilities (122,289 tokens, 2,381 reviews, 9 metadata attributes). Corpus data were manually annotated using Labov and Waletzky’s (1967) narrative structure model. We also include the elements of narrative structures (Abstract, Orientation, Complication, Evaluation, Resolution and Coda) and narrative elements missing from each comment. In addition, we also incorporate metadata information to allow corpus users to compare narrative analysis cross-sectionally, based on various metadata information (gender, sentiment, author’s status and facility management, amongst many others). The corpus is available for download (raw and xml versions) and is indexed in cqpweb Lancaster, a popular web-based corpus query system.
