What are the electrophysiologic characteristics and inducibility of torsades de pointes in patients without transient pharmacologic or metabolic abnormalities?
In patients without transient metabolic or pharmacologic triggers, torsades de pointes is highly inducible and may represent a rapid reentrant ventricular tachycardia capable of progressing to ventricular fibrillation.
