In patients with single-vessel coronary artery disease, the ST/HR slope was significantly higher in proximal left anterior descending and right coronary artery lesions compared to distal left anterior descending and circumflex lesions.
Observational (n=46)
p-value: p=<0.05
The ST/HR slope during exercise electrocardiography is influenced by the location and severity of coronary stenosis, suggesting its utility as an index for assessing coronary disease severity.
Higher ST/HR slopes in proximal LAD/RCA lesions may refine noninvasive CAD assessment; hypothesis-generating and should not yet alter practice.

KAORUKO KETA (1987) conducted an observational in Single-vessel coronary artery disease (n=46). Treadmill exercise test (ST/HR slope) vs. Coronary angiographic findings (stenosis location, severity, collaterals) was evaluated on ST/HR slope differences by stenosis location (p=<0.05). In patients with single-vessel coronary artery disease, the ST/HR slope was significantly higher in proximal left anterior descending and right coronary artery lesions compared to distal left anterior descending and circumflex lesions.
