This article provides an exploration of the theoretical foundations, potential benefits, and framework of the “virtual reality plus” (VR+) music education model. This study demonstrated that by leveraging virtual reality technology, the VR+ music education model created immersive, three-dimensional environments that offered students access to diverse music learning resources. This approach offers the potential to significantly enhance students' interest in learning, as well as improved musical perception and creative abilities. The widespread adoption and implementation of this model faces challenges, however, including technical limitations, high cost, and inadequate teacher training. The future evolution of the VR+ music education model must prioritize AI-driven smart feedback systems, personalized learning paths tailored to individual skills, and interdisciplinary integration with music psychology and real-world performance simulation, to nurture musical talent by uniting creative thinking with practical expertise.
