New species of chalcid wasps are identified in China, emphasizing biodiversity in Xinjiang Province.
Five species, Chlorocytus longicauda (Thomson, 1878), Mesopolobus sericeus (Förster, 1770), Pteromalus cardui (Erdős, 1953), Spaniopus dissimilis Walker, 1833 and Stenomalina iera (Walker, 1844) (Pteromalinae), are recorded for the first time for the fauna of China, and six other species: Merismus megapterus Walker, 1833 (Miscogastrinae), Chlorocytus polichna (Walker, 1848), Dibrachys golmudica Jiao, Yao et Xiao, 2017, Homoporus apharetus (Walker, 1839), Norbanus cerasiops (Masi, 1922), Trichomalopsis maura (Graham, 1969) (Pteromalinae), are new to the fauna of Xinjiang Province.
