Literature research examines problems in barrier-free tourism in Zhejiang, suggesting improvements for inclusivity.
Under the background of promoting the integration of disabled and non-disabled people and the high-quality development of cultural tourism, Zhejiang Province, a major cultural and tourism province in China, has made certain progress in barrier-free tourism environment construction by introducing relevant standards and carrying out pilot transformation of typical scenic spots. However, prominent problems still exist, restricting the realization of inclusive tourism goals. Based on the Zhejiang context, this paper takes the existing problems of barrier-free tourism environment construction as the core, combs domestic and foreign literature, adopts literature research and case analysis methods, explores the current situation, problems and root causes of barrier-free tourism environment construction in Zhejiang Province. The research finds that the main problems include unbalanced physical facilities construction, inadequate information accessibility, imperfect service system, lack of sound co-construction and co-governance mechanism, and insufficient social awareness. The conclusions provide theoretical and practical references for optimizing barrier-free tourism environment, promoting the integration of disabled and non-disabled people in tourism, and enriching regional barrier-free tourism research.
