Research identifies challenges and solutions for green finance and industry alignment in Sichuan, implying economic growth potential.
The green philosophy serves as the fundamental principle guiding ecological civilization development, with the coordinated development of green finance and green industries emerging as a key pathway to promote high-quality regional economic growth. For Sichuan Province, leveraging its abundant clean energy resources and early-established carbon market pilot programs, significant achievements have been made in integrating green finance with industrial development. However, challenges remain, including inconsistent green standards, inadequate product and service coverage, and underdeveloped regional coordination mechanisms. This paper proposes countermeasures such as establishing a unified standard system, innovating green financial instruments, and strengthening regional industrial collaboration, aiming to create a "Sichuan Model" of virtuous interaction between green finance and green industries. These recommendations provide valuable insights for the coordinated economic and ecological development of the upper Yangtze River region.
