The article is devoted to the transformation of youth values under the influence of the information and communication environment, the role of the media in the communicative processes of socialization and self-realization. The authors of the work emphasize the problem of the dual impact of the information and communication environment on the spiritual and moral formation of the digital generation: on the one hand, young people receive wide opportunities for self-development and self-realization, on the other, the scale of the negative influence of the media significantly distorts the traditional universal values that make up the spiritual basis of the individual. The relevance of the research is determined by the need to study new ways of translating the values of society and the integration of the individual as an active subject of socially significant communication, updating the understanding of the role of media communication in the dissemination of certain values and norms of behavior among young people. The paper presents the systematization of youth value groups in the context of the communicative practices of media consumption. The purpose of the study is to find optimal tools that allow young people to form a certain moral filter to neutralize the negative influence of the media. The research material is based on the application of an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the main characteristics of modern phenomena of the information and communication environment. The key research methods were in-depth interviews with experts, as well as a two-stage survey of 200 respondents aged 15 to 35 years. These results made it possible to prove the effectiveness of interactive co-authorship, multi-format and game implementation of broadcasting media content for the moral formation of a new generation.
