This skills audit was conducted within the Programme Management Office (PMO) Branch of the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure (DPWI). The audit supports the department's commitment to developing a skilled and capable workforce, aligning with broader national directives, including the National Development Plan (NDP) 2030 and the presidential call to professionalize the public service. The primary objective of this skills audit is to assess the current skills profile of the PMO Branch staff, identify key skills gaps and training needs relative to its dual mandate of driving project delivery excellence and executing special projects, and provide recommendations for targeted skills development interventions. This audit focused on staff at the Middle Management Service (MMS) and Senior Management Service (SMS) levels. The data was collected using a survey administered via an online platform between February and March 2025. The branch achieved an excellent participation rate of 89% (16 out of 18 officials), ensuring the findings are highly representative.
