This article discusses the theoretical and practical foundations of developing deontological competence in higher education institutions. The essence of deontological competence, its importance in students’ professional activities, and its role in the modern education system are analyzed. In addition, the article widely highlights effective mechanisms for developing professional ethics, responsibility, pedagogical culture, and professional ethical skills in students through interactive methods, innovative pedagogical technologies, mentoring systems, practical training, research activities, and a spiritual-educational environment.
