Structured PICO

Can macroscopic inspection of the unopened valve from above determine the pathogenesis of isolated aortic stenosis in adults?

P
Population
111 hearts from adults with isolated aortic stenosis
I
Intervention
Macroscopic inspection of the unopened valve from above
O
Outcome
Determination of pathogenesis

Macroscopic inspection of the unopened valve from above is highly effective for determining the pathogenesis of isolated aortic stenosis.

Abstract

In Io8 of IiI heartsfrom adults with isolated aortic stenosis the pathogenesis could be determined macroscopically if inspection of the unopened valve from above was included in the examination.
