Review highlights recent papers on heart failure risk, novel therapies, HFrEF therapeutic inertia, and HCM.
Why the study?
Heart failure research is rapidly advancing, presenting challenges in staying up to date with the latest developments.
This review summarizes recent key developments in heart failure research, including risk assessment, novel therapies, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Offers clinicians a concise HF research update; leaves open validation of novel therapies in prospective trials.
Heart failure (HF) research is rapidly advancing, presenting challenges in staying up-to-date with the latest developments. This article provides an overview of noteworthy papers published in the past month. We will highlight two original research papers focusing on HF risk, novel drug and device approaches for HF.Additionally, we will summarize the main messages from a scientific statement on overcoming therapeutic inertia in HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF).We will then provide an overview of two studies on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), an especially active area of investigation (Figure 1).
