This paper aims to map the level of emotional intelligence (EI) among Generation Z.The research is based on a questionnaire survey devoted to EI and conducted among second-year bachelor students. The questionnaire is built on the theory of David Goleman, who divides emotional intelligence into five competencies: self-awareness, managing emotions, motivating oneself, empathy and social skills.Based on the results of particular dimensions of EI and gender, 130 students were divided into three subgroups using cluster analysis. From the evaluation of the results, most of the observed sample of Generation Z in general shows high potential in managing and using emotional intelligence.Nevertheless, there are areas that members of Gen Z and (future) managers should focus on.There are especially: managing emotions, getting along with others (social skills), and developing selfmotivation.
