Randomized trial integrates cognitive difficulty maps and HTML5 tech to enhance learning in university physics courses.
In response to the challenge of balancing large-scale instruction with the goal of deep learning in university physics laboratory courses, this study, grounded in a “student-centered development” philosophy, integrates cognitive difficulty maps with lightweight HTML5 interactive technology. A three-dimensional breakthrough path has been constructed: (1) Cognitive Dimensionality Reduction: Over 60 HTML5 micro-simulation cases targeting specific cognitive nodes have been developed. These transform abstract physical processes into interactive dynamic models and enable script-level control, shifting students from passive observation to active creation. (2) Instructional Reconstruction: Fully digital HTML5 teaching materials and a “paper + digital” hybrid laboratory report system have been created. By dynamically generating differentiated tasks, this approach shifts the teaching focus from operational skill training to the cultivation of scientific thinking. (3) Ecological Upgrading: A cloud-based intelligent platform has been established, forming a closed-loop “resources-application-data” ecosystem that effectively overcomes the spatiotemporal constraints of traditional experimental teaching.
